| Description | Created a web page at http://lostsouls.org/status that checks to see if the MUD is 1) running 2) accepting network connections, with some explanatory text about each trouble condition it can detect. It automatically continues checking, with the retry interval tuned according to the situation (for example, it checks most often when the MUD is running but not accepting connections, because that normally means it's in the startup cycle and can be expected to become available soon). |
