Description Added code to the NPC verbal-responses mechanism that tracks who and what it was they last responded to, and does not respond again to that same stimulus.
Reason Response loops are madness.
Result The most common form of NPC response loop (NPC A says something which triggers a response from NPC B, which triggers a response from NPC A, and so on) will no longer happen. Response loops are still possible given a sufficiently complex interaction, but this should catch most of them.
