Description Cleaned up a bunch of the spells in OIA. Most of the directed attack spell clones have been merged into a single spell called Fiery Bolt, which selects its damage type based upon the magickal skills of the caster. Also replaced most of the cloned AoE spells with Eruption, which works similarly to Fiery Bolt for damage selection. This cleared out 30+ spells, whose names may be reutilized in future spell updates. Removed the more obviously broken spells and any spell which I knew was forced into the concept of OIA in some very loosely tangental manner that really did not make much sense once the guild underwent cosmological changes. Adjusted some of the ratings of spells that have trended as being necessary earlier on, and set up several other spells that came about as a result of either conceptual changes within the guild, or emergent behavior. Burnt Offerings no longer torches kept items. Changes within Schola Fervitus made it so that Mark of the Phoenix drops guild members off in the portal room and non-members off at the base of the tower. Better security in Schola Fervitus, several bookstore upgrades, and Gaius will transport new recruits into the guildhall. Requirements for Brimstone Portal lowered, and a means of usage training the skills needed for Brimstone Portal have been added.
Reason Dude, it was my first guild and a long learning process, which is still going on. Plus there have been a lot of outside influences on the guild that have changed.
Result OIA have less spells, but if you know what you are doing, you can recreate all of the removed spells fairly consistently with the replacement spells. Bads stuff go bye-bye and broken stuffs getting weeded out or replaced with worky stuffs. Hopefully OIA can start performing like an actual individual guild rather than the evolved clone it was on its second major update. Final result -- I'll get more flack for changing a huge chunk of OIA yet again.
